Ulrika Krishnamurti is an Indian-born actor living in London and working internationally. Ulrika’s artistic journey began at age 12, when she was cast in Rockford, an independent film by acclaimed filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor.
More recently, Ulrika played Aditi in the award-winning play Made in India (Soho Theatre, Belgrade Theatre, UK National Tour) by Satinder Chohan, for which she was nominated for an Off West End Award for her performance. She also played the roles of Sheelu/Champa/Rani in the world premiere of the play Pink Sari Revolution (Curve Theatre, UK Tour, NCPA-India). Ulrika played the title role in filmmaker Aparna Malladi's The Anushree Experiments. She also acted in and produced the satirical short film, Dead Men Tell No Fairy Tales.
Ulrika is a graduate of the Guildford School of Acting. She is trained in Indian Classical singing and pursues singing jazz with great passion. She believes that some stories absolutely need to be told and shared. Through her theatre company, Transcend Drama, she aims to create theatre that truly affects - at its best, art can be a powerful medium for social change.
