Ulrika plays Aouda, the Indian Princess, and the Trick Rider in this circus-themed version of Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne, adapted by Juliet Forster,
Join York Theatre Royal’s raggle-taggle band of travelling circus performers as they embark on their most daring feat yet: to perform the story of Phileas Fogg and his faithful companion Passepartout as they set off on their race around the world. But will the performers be able to recreate every country, character and mode of transport in the book? Will they all agree on what story should be told? Will this madcap adventure reach its final destination in one piece? If it does, will they all still be friends? And just who is Nellie Bly…?
This irresistible round-the-world romp, packed to bursting with fun and frivolity, is the perfect holiday substitute! See it outside or at the theatre. For ages 7+.
Around the World in 80 Days is heading out on the road – visiting every corner of the city for outdoor performances between 6 – 21 August, before coming back to the theatre for performances in the Main House from 25 – 28 August.
